Weren’t we just complaining about how warm and wet it was? Welcome to cold and dry and typical North Carolina weather.
It looks like we’re going to be chilly for the next few days, then warm up in time for some rain on Friday.
Today we’re hovering right around the freezing mark. The windshields were a mess. The sun will rise and bring us to a high of 42 with a north northwest wind at 8-15 mph and gusts up to 24, so it’s going to feel pretty arctic. Tonight will be clear, with a frigid low of 20 and north wind at 6-10 mph.
Tuesday will be sunny, but colder, with a high of just 40 degrees and north northeast wind at 7-9 mph. And we’ll dip into the teens for a low of 19, so be sure to check your plumbing and pets.
More sun on Wednesday, with a slightly warmer high of 45 and continued northeast wind at 3-5 mph. We’re back to freezing on Wednesday night, with a low of 32.
The clouds return Thursday, with a high of 50. We’ll have a 60 percent chance of rain Thursday night, with a low of 41.
Rain is likely Friday, with more clouds and a high of 52. The chance of rain will be 70 percent.
The chance drops to 40 percent Friday night, with a low of 43.
Saturday will be partly sunny and warmer, with a high of 59, but here comes a 30 percent chance of rain for Saturday night, and a low of 44.
Sunday will have a 50 percent chance of rain, mostly cloudy skies and a high of 58.
