Police are looking into a stabbing incident believed to have occurred somewhere near the Tinseltown movie theater, but officials say the victim has been uncooperative.

The Salisbury Police received a call from a Mocksville hospital reporting a man told them he’d been stabbed in Salisbury earlier in the week. The 31-year-old man arrived at the hospital with stab wounds. He said it occurred Tuesday night. The man said he didn’t know who stabbed him or how it occurred. He was between Dollar Tree and the movie theater, located on Faith Road.

Interim Police Chief Brian Stallings said detectives are actively investigating the incident and are working to contact the victim.

It was not reported until Thursday, but not by the victim, police officials said.
