Not much controversy with so much support
The writer is responding to an article in Wednesday’s Post, “China Grove Police add ‘In God We Trust’ to patrol cars, spark controversy.”
The article mentions 3,700 “likes” on social media. This sounds like the entire population of China Grove! It cites no reference to the number of “dislikes” nor offers any quotes or names of protesters. So where is the controversy? Who is the mayor apologizing to?
It is time to start standing up to the professional grouches, God-haters and media bullies who are trying to remake this nation into their own liberal, atheistic, socialist image. The Supreme Court declared in Zorach v. Clauson (1952), that the nation’s “institutions presuppose a Supreme Being” and that “government recognition of God does not constitute the establishment of a state church as the Constitution’s authors intended to prohibit.”
The atheistic liberal bloggers need to thank their lucky stars that they live in a country populated by God-fearing folks who afford them the same freedom to hate God as they claim for themselves to love God. We are in dangerous waters when an apparent few social media comments spark a “controversy.”

Keep Sharon Randall
On Dec. 22, Sharon Randall announced in her editorial in the Post that her column was not being picked up by syndication. Her column is so inspirational and family-orientated. I heard it may still be in the Winston-Salem Journal. Is there any way that the Post can still pick it up? This is a column worthy of reading each week. It is a joy to read articles about family and of the joy the family brings to her.

Editor’s reply: We have been in correspondence with Randall and hope to work something out.
Does anyone feel safer?
What’s going on in our world?
North Korea just announced a successful Hydrogen Bomb test.
U.S. soldiers are still being killed in Afghanistan.
Russia has annexed part of Ukraine and is threatening Georgia.
India and Pakistan (both nuclear powers) are in a serious face-off.
Saudi Arabia and Iran are on the verge of war.
The Taliban is reported to have regained much of their strength.
America has begun to see Islamic terrorism on our soil.
And Obama’s priority is to make it harder for law-abiding citizens to purchase guns for their family’s protection. Does anybody feel safer with him in charge?
Do we want his former Secretary of State as our next leader?
May God have mercy on us!
