Salisbury girls rally to win at Thomasville

THOMASVILLE — Salisbury rallied in the fourth quarter to pull out a Central Carolina Conference victory over Thomasville here Friday night.
The Hornets (12-9, 4-4 in the CCC) entered the final period down, 30-27, after the Bulldogs (5-13, 3-5) blitzed the visitors in the third quarter, 13-4.
Salisbury moved ahead late in the game behind Tyzarea Alexander and Bryanna Troutman.
Alexander led the Salisbury scoring with 14 points and Troutman followed with 10. Tacorro Robinson scored eight points for the Hornets.
Salisbury came out of the gate strong, outscoring the Bulldogs, 13-2, in the opening period.
Thomasville’s Dee Long led all scorers with 25 points, including all of the Bulldogs’ 10 fourth-quarter points.
