Van and Crystal Boyd of Salisbury are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Mary Lindsaye Boyd, to Daniel Richard Misner, son of Richard and Mary Misner of Spencer.
Mary Lindsaye is the granddaughter of Johnny and Judy Isenhour of Salisbury. A 2011 graduate of North Hills Christian School, she graduated from Pfeiffer University in 2014, earning Bachelors degrees in Communication and English. She was also awarded the Pearle W. Fisher Citizenship Award. Mary Lindsaye is presently a graduate student in the School of Media and Journalism at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
The groom is the grandson of Mary Misner of Wooster, Ohio. He graduated from North Hills Christian School in 2010 and from Rowan-Cabarrus Community College in 2015 with an Associate of Arts degree. He is a banker with BB&T.
The wedding is June 18 at Saratoga Springs in Mount Pleasant.
Mary Lindsaye and Daniel share their very unique proposal experience: He hid the ring in a hollowed out “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” book. The book was stashed in a used book store in Durham named Letters. They visit every used bookstore they pass because of her love of books; so they went in, and after browsing a bit, she unknowingly picked up the book and opened it and the chapter it was hollowed out to was “The Unbreakable Vow.”
