Rose bushes at the Triangle Rose Garden on West Innes Street will be pruned by members of the Rowan Rose Society on Saturday, March 12, starting at 8 a.m.
The rain date is March 19.
Many people are reluctant to prune rose bushes for fear of damaging them, but rose bushes benefit from pruning, to give a more symmetrical form and larger blooms.
Anyone interested in n effective pruning of roses for best growth and bloom is invited to attend. You can come and simply observe or you can bring a pari of pruners — and gloves — and practice a few cuts with expert advice from consulting rosarians.
