Cody Hand to speak at April Chamber breakfast

Cody Hand, vice president and deputy general counsel for the North Carolina Hospital Association, will be the keynote speaker at the Rowan County Chamber of Commerce’s next Power in Partnership (PIP) breakfast on Thursday, April 21, 7:30 a.m. at Trinity Oaks (728 Klumac Rd.). Novant Health Rowan Medical Center is the sponsor.
Hand will speak about health care issues that need to be addressed during the 2016 State Legislative Session. He serves as the Hospital Association’s chief lobbyist advocating and coordinating hospital advocacy on behalf of North Carolina’s hospitals. Hand joined the association in 2012 and prior to that worked at the North Carolina State Senate as the chief policy advisor to President Pro Tempore Phil Berger and also practiced law with his wife.
The Leadership Rowan Class will start their day at the breakfast and then venture out for the day’s session focused on a different aspect of the community. The last PIP breakfast meeting for this season will be on May 19 (Dr. Jim Johnson, UNC Chapel Hill – Leadership Rowan Graduation). The program will take a break in the summer and begin again in September.

If you are not a Power Card holder, individual reservations are welcome; however, the reservation deadline is Tuesday, April 19 by 5 p.m. The cost is $15 for members and $25 for non-members.
