MOCKSVILLE – William Lee Graves Sr., 77, of Pine Street, died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2006, at his home. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;Mr. Graves was born July 2, 1929, in Davie County to the late Jesse Lee and Cornelia Long Graves. He retired from Prudential Life Insurance Co. and had also worked for Pilot Life Insurance Co. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;Mr. Graves was a member of First United Methodist Church, Mocksville Lions Club and Mocksville-Davie Jaycees. Mr. Graves worked with Meals on Wheels and was involved on several church disaster relief teams. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;Survivors include his wife, Margaret Beaver Graves of the home; daughter Patricia (Sam) Hendrix of Winston-Salem; sons William Lee Graves Jr. of Mocksville and Robert (Donna) Graves of Asheboro; sister Betty McLain of Salisbury; and grandchildren Samuel Hendrix, Matthew Hendrix, Catherine Hendrix, Megan Graves, Mary Graves, Jennifer Graves and Bradley Graves. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;Service: A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Don Routh and the Rev. Darren Alexander officiating. Burial will be in Rose Cemetery. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;Visitation: The family will receive friends from 6-8 tonight at Eaton Funeral Home. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;Memorials: The family requests that memorials be considered for First United Methodist Church, 310 N. Main St., Mocksville, NC 27028; or Hospice Palliative Care Center, 377 Hospital St., Suite 103, Mocksville, NC 27028.
