Love Crossling to speak at Housing Workshop

The Salisbury Housing Advocacy Commission will be sponsoring a housing workshop at the Civic Center at 315 S. Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue on April 28 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
Love Crossling, Human Relations director for the city of Greensboro, will be the featured speaker.
Crossling has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and communications from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, a master’s degree in marriage and family therapy from East Carolina University and a doctorate in cultural foundations from UNCG.
She has conducted research about the experience of military populations at UNCG, served as an academic life coach and mentor for the Rites of Passage Learning Community of transfer and adult minority male students and facilitated staff training on social justice and student development for professional staff, among other accomplishments.
Landlords and tenants will be able to learn about their responsibilities, best practices and legal aspects during the workshop.
The Salisbury Fire Department will also talk about fire protection in the home.
