Community Job Fair to be held on April 26

Forty employers will be at a community job fair on April 26 at the Salisbury Civic Center at 315 S. Martin Luther King Jr. Ave.
The Centralina Workforce Development Board, NCWorks Career Center-Rowan, Rowan-Cabarrus Community College, city of Salisbury, Rowan-Salisbury School System, RowanWorks Economic Development and Jobs for Life will host the fair.
The fair will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Attendees will be able to ask questions to a panel of employers who will discuss what employers look for in their employees.
A few of the major companies that will be at the fair include FedEx, Novant Health, Henkel, Gordon Foods and the U.S. Office of Personnel Management.
There will also be preparation workshops before the job fair. On April 21, the NCWorks Career Center-Rowan at 1904 S. Main St. will be hosting sessions on resumes, interviewing and job fair success. The sessions will be offered simultaneously from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. They will also be offered from 9 a.m. to noon on April 22.
Those who attend at least one session will be able to enter the job fair 30 minutes early.
