N.C. Department of Transportation crews will close a section of Stone Road between Pop Basinger Road and U.S. 52 near the town of Faith while bridge maintenance crews work to replace a failing cross line pipe under the roadway.

Weather permitting; work will begin at 8 a.m. on Monday, April 25. The road is expected to re-open by 5 p.m. on Friday, May 27.

Motorists will use Pop Basinger Road, Crescent Road and U.S. 52 as the 2-mile detour around the work.

NCDOT reminds motorists to watch signs for construction information, stay alert and obey the posted speed limit.
