CHINA GROVE – Donald Lee Shelton, 86, of Goose Creek, S.C., and formerly of China Grove, died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2006, at Trident Medical Center, North Charleston, S.C. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;Born June 17, 1920, in Logan, W.Va., Mr. Shelton was the son of the late John Marion and Beatrice Allen Shelton. He was educated in the Logan schools and was of the Baptist faith. After retiring in 1982 as an engineer for C.O. Railway, he enjoyed fishing. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alberta Spears Shelton, on March 1, 2003. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;Survivors include son Ronald Shelton of China Grove; daughter Linda Sammons of Goose Creek, S.C.; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;Service: 2 p.m. Sunday in Northcrest Chapel of Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home, China Grove, conducted by the Rev. Kenneth Lance.
