SALISBURY – Kathleen Koontz Daniels, 86, of Salisbury, died at Rowan Regional Medical Center on Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2006. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;Born May 15, 1920, in Iredell County, Mrs. Daniels was the daughter of the late Adren Dorse and Sudie Campbell Koontz. Educated in the Iredell County schools, she graduated from Cool Springs High School in 1938. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;Known widely for her work as a seamstress, she worked for Rickman Manufacturing and Leisure Lads, which later became Eric Anders. She also worked at Belk’s for a number of years in the alterations department. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;Mrs. Daniels was a member of Concord United Methodist Church in Davie County. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;Preceded in death by her husband, Eustace Edward & quot;Hoot & quot; Daniels, on May 20, 1976, she is survived by son Harold Wayne Daniels and wife Micky of San Antonio, Tex.; sister Frances McGarity and husband George of Salisbury; brother Oscar Koontz and wife Sara of Davie County; and a number of nieces and nephews. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;Visitation: Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Saturday at Summersett Funeral Home. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;Service: The funeral will follow at 11 a.m. in the Summersett Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Rowan Memorial Park. The Rev. Arnold P. Gosnell, minister of Concord United Methodist Church, will officiate. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;Memorials: Memorials may be made to Concord United Methodist Church, 161 Cherry Hill Road, Mocksville, NC 27028. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;Summersett Funeral Home is serving the Daniels family.
