SALISBURY — Food Lion is celebrating teachers in select markets including the greater Wilmington, Greenville, Raleigh and Charlotte markets by offering teachers a 5 percent discount on their total purchase in nearly 400 stores on Teacher Appreciation Day today.
“Food Lion is proud to give back to our communities by celebrating our local teachers on Teacher Appreciation Day,” said Greg Finchum, senior vice president of retail operations at Food Lion. “Every day, our teachers in our communities invest in our students’ learning and growth, and this is Food Lion’s way of saying thank you to our teachers to show our support for the work they do every day to educate our future neighbors, associates and community leaders.”
A full list of participating stores is available here. To receive the discount, teachers need to simply show a teacher ID at checkout.
This offer is valid today only. The discount does not apply to the purchase of alcohol, tobacco, gift cards, lottery, postage stamps or services.
Food Lion is proud to work with local teachers and schools in the communities it serves throughout the year. The grocer regularly hosts Food Lion Feeds Family Math Nights in its stores to help educate students and their families about how to make healthy choices in the grocery stores, on any budget, and engages in numerous donations at schools to provide fresh produce and other healthy items to students and their families struggling with hunger.
