Men’s Day at St. Matthew Missionary Baptist
ROCKWELL — St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church will observe its annual Men’s Day on Sunday at 11 a.m. Speaking will be St. Matthew’s own Rev. John Geter. The 3 p.m. speaker will be the Rev. Tim Bates, pastor of Cameron Presbytrian Church and Calvay Presbyterian Church, both in Statesville. Both choirs will accompany him.
Homecoming at Homestead Baptist
KANNAPOLIS — Homestead Baptist Church, corner of 29-A and West 22nd St., will celebrate homecoming on Sunday at 11 a.m. The church will be celebrating 22 years of spiritual service to the community. The service will be led by Pastor Mitch Thomas.
Early summer services at Gloria Dei Lutheran
Gloria Dei Lutheran Church on Statesville Boulevard will hold an Early Service of Meditation and Communion Worship at its outdoor amphitheater, from 8:30-9 a.m. every Sunday in June through the end of August.

Inaugural sermon at Trading Ford Baptist
Jeff Long will deliver his first sermon on Sunday at the 6 p.m. service at Trading Ford Baptist Church, 3600 Long Ferry Road. Jeff is a member of Trading Ford as well as a community volunteer, Bible study leader, contributor of faith columns to the Salisbury Post, and a mentor with several recovery groups in the area.

Youth Sunday at The Arbor UMC
The Arbor United Methodist Church, 5545 Woodleaf Road, will observe Youth Sunday on June 5 to celebrate their youth. There will be contemporary music and Dillon Simpson, a student at West Rowan, will have the message. Catawba student Lauren Gaskill is the youth director at The Arbor. Frank and Mary Gordon are co-pastors.
Mt. Moriah Lutheran honors grads
CHINA GROVE — Mt. Moriah Lutheran church will honor its high school and college graduates at Sunday worship.
Those graduating are: Summer McAnulty, Zach Walker (Mt. Pleasant); Katie Lipe, Kendall Dabbs, Holly Barnes (South Rowan); Marisa Lentz (Catawba), Carrie Efird (UNCW), Madalyn Freeman (RCCC) and Randall Tallent (Florida International Univ).
A congregational covered dish lunch will be held in the fellowship hall following the service.
