HYPOLUXO, Fla. — Vickie Lane Smallwood, 58, Hypoluxo, Fla., formerly of Kannapolis, died Dec. 20, 2006, at JFK Medical Center, Atlantis, Fla.

Born Jan. 1, 1948, in Cabarrus County, Miss Smallwood was a daughter of the late Ruby Jo Towell Ervin and John Smallwood. Her stepfather, Robert Lee “Bob” Ervin, also preceded her in death.

She was an assistant treasurer for the Lake Worth Drainage District, Delray Beach, Fla.

Survivors include sister Sherry Goforth, Kannapolis.

Lady’s Funeral Home, Kannapolis, assisted the family.
