First Baptist Church of Gold Hill celebrates 10-year anniversary

Submitted

GOLD HILL – July 2016 marks the 10-year anniversary for the First Baptist Church of Gold Hill in the new church built on 16141 Old Beatty Ford Road. The original church was established in August of 1874 on Baptist Church Road, which currently holds services for the Laotian community.

As membership grew in the old church, Pastor Toney Parsons felt led by God to build a new church building. The first service in the new building was held July 9, 2006.

The church supports local and foreign missions, and is the home church for a member now serving as a missionary in Nicaragua. The church participates in mission trips to other countries and the U.S., while also serving the local needs in the community.

The special anniversary service will be  held Sunday at 11 a.m. to recognize 10 wonderful years that have been blessed by God.

Rev. Parsons has been pastor at First Baptist for 17 years.
