SALISBURY – Oscar Frank & quot;Bud & quot; Garrett, 77, of Salisbury, died Monday, Dec. 11, 2006, at Rowan Regional Medical Center. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;Born Feb. 23, 1929, in Randolph County, Mr. Garrett was a son of the late Agaithia Menster Garrett and Nathanial A. Garrett. Educated in Rowan County schools, he retired from Amoco Cartex Mill after 35 years of service. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;Mr. Garrett was a member of St. Luke’s Reform Church. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;Surviving are his wife, Ruby Morrison Garrett, whom he married March 19, 1961; sons Frank & quot;Pat & quot; Garrett and Keith Garrett, both of Salisbury, and Robert & quot;Robie & quot; Garrett and wife Temichia of Kannapolis; daughter Cindy Christie of China Grove; grandchildren Angela and Joshua Garrett, Jason Nichols and Trisha Bryson; great-grandchildren Emily and Daniel Harris; brother James Garrett of Salisbury; and sisters Dora Bell Rowland of Roxboro and Faye Phillips of Salisbury. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;Service: 3 p.m. Thursday at Lyerly Funeral Home’s James C. Lyerly Chapel with the Rev. Johnnie Boggs officiating. Burial will be at Rowan Memorial Park. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;Visitation: 1:30-2:30 p.m. Thursday at Lyerly Funeral Home.
