Salisbury Symphony announces new board

The Salisbury-Rowan Symphony Society has elected its new board of directors. New members include Charles Bernheim, Dr. Phillip Burgess, Joseph Blackwell, Emily Blanton, Ashley Hall, Russell Stevens and RJ Thornton.
John Brincefield will serve as president of the board, assisted by Dr. Bethany Sinnott as vice president. Andrea Anders will be the new secretary.
Other volunteers serving on the Board include Angie Smith, Tim Gudger, Laura Lewis, Mary James, Rosemary Kinard, Teresa Moore-Mitchell, Kay Norman, Marty Richards, Hunter Safrit, Susan Trivette, Robert Van Geons, Lane Wallace, Jordan Warren and Jean Wurster.
Ashley Shoaf, president of the Friends of the Symphony (formerly the Salisbury Symphony Guild), represents the fund-raising group of the Symphony Society and is a voting member of the board.
Continuing its tradition of including young people, the board welcomes Livingstone College music student Ashley Hall and Catawba College music student RJ Thornton.
