Loretta Basinger Flora

SALISBURY – Loretta Basinger Flora, 64, of Greenwood, S.C., formerly of Salisbury, died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2006, at Hospice House of Piedmont in Greenwood.
Born May 6, 1942, in Rowan County, Ms. Flora was a daughter of the late Eva Gregory Basinger and Paul Cecil Basinger. A graduate of Boyden High School, she retired from the Department of Veterans Affairs as a purchasing clerk.
Ms. Flora was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Salisbury.
She was preceded in death by sister Valerie Basinger Brown.
Surviving are son Bill Flora (Kristine) of Raleigh; daughter Angela Flora Tinkler (Dr. Stuart A.) of Greenwood; niece Crystal Brown Kirkman of Salisbury; and grandchildren William Paul Flora, Eleanor Mary Flora, Robert Phillip Tinkler and Mary Stuart Tinkler.
Service: 11 a.m. Saturday at Lyerly Funeral Home’s James C. Lyerly Chapel with the Rev. Ricky Brown officiating. The body was cremated.
Visitation: 7-8:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
