MOCKSVILLE – Mrs. Mannie Harris Shoffner, 82, passed away Saturday Dec. 16, 2006 at her home.

She was born Dec. 25, 1923 in Yadkin County to the late Ernie & Nina Welborn Harris. Mrs. Shoffner was a member of Yadkinville Church of God. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Martin Shoffner; son, Commie Lee Shoffner; three sisters and four brothers.

Surviving are her children, Jeanette (Wayne) Greene, Larry (Betty) Shoffner, Roger (Cathie) Shoffner; sister, Olis Lancaster; brother, E.M. Harris; grandchildren, Mike (Michelle) Shoffner, Kenneth Shoffner, Timmy Shoffner, Jeremy Shoffner, Christina Shoffner, Vickie (Dale) McGinnis,, Karen Hinson, Eddie Shoffner, Freddie Shoffner; 13 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Service: Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, at 2 p.m. at Yadkinville Church of God by the Rev. Timothy Jones. She will lie in-state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in Shoffner Family Cemetery in Mocksville.

Visitation: The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. tonight at Gentry Family Funeral Service at Yadkinville. The family would like to thank a special caregiver Michelle Shoffner for all of the love and care shown to Mrs. Shoffner.
