Dianna F. Lemons

Dianna Freeman Lemons, 61, 3211 Kendale Ave., Concord, died Thursday (Dec. 28, 2006) at her home after three years of declining health.
Born Sept. 2, 1945, in Montgomery County, Mrs. Lemons was a daughter of the late Robert and Elgie Atkins Freeman.
A resident of the area since 1968, she had previously taught at the Cabarrus School of Nursing, Concord; Rowan-Cabarrus Community College; and the Hefner VA Medical Center, Salisbury.
More recently, she worked in health occupations at Concord High School.
She was a member of First Wesleyan Church.
Survivors include her husband of 36 years, James “Jim” Lemons; son Derrick Lemons, Lincolnton; daughter April Cline, Concord; brother George Freeman, Winston-Salem; sisters Margie Barbee, Mount Pleasant, Brenda Goodman, Mount Ulla, and Shirley Jones, Flagstaff, Ariz.; and two grandchildren.
A service was held Saturday (Dec. 30, 2006) at First Wesleyan Church, conducted by Dr. Forbis Kivett; the Rev. Michael Hilson, a nephew; the Rev. Wayne Prousz, senior pastor; and the Rev. Ronald Lee, a nephew-in-law. Burial, Carolina Memorial Park.
Whitley’s Funeral Home was in charge.
