Peggy Shirlean “Shirley” Graham Langston, 71, 903 Nance St., died Sunday (Dec. 31, 2006) at Hospice House after two weeks of serious illness.

Born Sept. 7, 1935, in Lincoln County, Mrs. Langston was a daughter of the late Joseph S. and Leeola Howard Graham.

She had been employed by Cannon Mills Plant 1. Later she worked for Ardsley Medical Clinic, Concord, for 25 years, until her retirement. She was a member of Midway United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Jimmy Langston; son Jimmy Langston Jr., Boone; brother Howard Graham, Atlanta; sister June Yancey, Butner.

Services: 3 p.m. today, Whitley’s Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Dave Cash; burial, Carolina Memorial Park.
