Ja'von Ra'yel Scarborough

SALISBURY – Ja’von Ra’yel Scarborough, infant son of A’shanta “Tay” Scarborough of Salisbury and Jonathon Gallimore of Taylorsville, died Saturday, Dec. 30, 2006, at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro. Ja’von Ra’yel was born March 13, 2006, in Salisbury.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by sister Kalaysia Scarborough of the home; maternal grandparents Willie “Jamie” Rhyne and Priscilla “Joe” Rhyne, both of Salisbury; maternal great- grandparents Ervenia Leach of East Spencer and Roosevelt and Lilly Stockton of Salisbury; paternal grandparents Diane Gallimore and Roy Thomas Gallimore of Salisbury; uncles Andrae “Ray” Rhyne and Dessie Borders, both of Salisbury; aunt Jeanette Stockton of Greensboro; godmother Marnita McDaniel of Kannapolis; special godparents Layfyette and Cathy Long of Charlotte.
He was preceded in death by grandfather Dessie Scarborough on June 25, 1995.
Service: Funeral Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Noble & Kelsey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Beverly Rose, pastor of Mount Zion CME Church on Lloyd Street, officiating. Burial will follow at Rowan Memorial Park, Salisbury.
The family will be at the home of his grandparents at 409 Vance Ave., Salisbury.
