Georgia Sills Bolden

SALISBURY – Georgia Sills Brown Stone Bolden, age 91, of Trinity Oaks, died Sunday, Dec. 31, 2006, at Rowan Regional Medical Center.
Born May 17, 1915 in Gastonia, Mrs. Bolden was the daughter of the late Laura Lee Parrish and Adam P. Sills Sr. She attended Rowan County and Salisbury City schools, as well as Salisbury Business College.
At one time she served as secretary of Christiana Lutheran Church, where she had been a member and served as the church choir director. She had moved her membership to Stallings Memorial Baptist Church. She was manager of Carolina Maid Outlet Store before retiring.
Georgia was preceded in death by her husbands, Kyle M. Brown in November 1980, Paul E. Stone on Dec. 23, 1993, and Charles R. Bolden on Oct. 12, 2000. She was also preceded by an infant son, three brothers and five sisters.
Surviving her is a son, M. Kent Brown and wife Carol of Salisbury, and grandchildren Jonathan Brown and wife Sheelba and Farrah Hofman and husband Peter. Also surviving is a great-grandchild, Colin Thomas Hofman.
Visitation: The family will see friends from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday at Summersett Funeral Home.
Service: Funeral services are Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Summersett Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Gilmer Boggs and the Rev. Ron Touchton officiating. Burial will follow at Christiana Lutheran Church Cemetery.
