'Jimmy' H. Carpenter

SALISBURY – James “Jimmy” Harvey Carpenter, 47, of 8695 Old Concord Road, died unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, Dec. 28, 2006.
Born Dec. 8, 1959, Mr. Carpenter was the son of Louise Stewart Carpenter of China Grove and the late James Harvey Carpenter, who died Jan. 31, 1989. Jimmy attended Rowan County schools and was a member of Lutheran Chapel Church. He received the Eagle Scout Award and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was an independent truck driver.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Susan Robinson Carpenter; daughters Christy Carpenter of Kannapolis and Stephanie Carpenter of the home; brother Frank Carpenter of Landis; and grandson Jonathan Carpenter.
Service: 2 p.m. Tuesday in Northcrest Chapel of Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home, China Grove, conducted by the Rev. Bill Bauguess. Burial will be at West Lawn Memorial Park.
Visitation: 1-2 p.m. Tuesday at Linn-Honeycutt.
