Here we go again.

High temperatures in the mid to upper 90s today, with moderate humidity levels, could result in a heat index of 100 to 104 between 2 and 5 p.m.

Isolated or scattered thunderstorms this afternoon could become severe briefly, with frequent lightning and damaging winds.

Today is a code yellow air quality day, meaning the air is OK, but unusually sensitive people may be affected, especially later in the day.

Mostly sunny and hot today, with a high of 94 and a heat index around 101. Calm wind, with a westerly breeze around 5 mph in the afternoon.

Tonight has a 50 percent chance of showers and storms, mainly before 2 a.m. The low will be 74, with little wind, except in storms.

Then we go into the pattern of most days having a 30 percent chance of thunderstorms and showers.

Wednesday has that chance of rain, mainly after 3 p.m. It will be mostly sunny and hot again, with another high of 94 and a predicted heat index of 101. Calm wind, again becoming west in the afternoon around 5 mph.

Wednesday night has a 40 percent chance of showers and storms, mainly before 3 a.m. The low will be 73, with calm wind.

Thursday’s chance of rain and storms comes after 2 p.m. It will be partly sunny and 94 again. Wind from the southwest will blow at 5-9 mph in the afternoon. Same 30 percent chance of rain Thursday night, with a low of 72.

Friday will be mostly sunny and 90, with the 30 percent chance of showers and storms moving in Friday night before 9. The low will be 72.

And Saturday will have a high of 91 under mostly sunny skies, with a 30 percent chance of rain. Same chance Saturday night with a low of 71.

Sunday’s high will be 91, with the same storm chance, and partly sunny skies. A 30 percent chance of rain Sunday night, too, with a low of 71.

Monday’s high of 90 will also be accompanied by a 30 percent chance of showers, with partly sunny skies.
