COOLEEMEE – Walter Homer Snider, 82, of Davie Street, died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2006, at his home.

He was born Sept. 28, 1924, in Davie County to the late John A. and Tommie Lee Ratts Snider. Mr. Snider retired from Ingersoll-Rand. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during World War II and was recipient of two Purple Hearts.

Mr. Snider is survived by two brothers, John Snider of Cooleemee and Norman Snider of Mocksville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Service: A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at Legion Memorial Park with the Rev. John Groff officiating.
