ROCKWELL – Rockwell United Methodist Church, 430 East Main Street, welcomes Tangela Cameron as the congregation’s new pastoral assistant specializing in children/youth ministries and pastoral care.

A graduate of Catawba College and Hood Theological Seminary, Mrs. Cameron is a candidate for ordained ministry within the Western North Carolina Conference.

Pastor Charles Curtis says, “We are excited to welcome Tangela Cameron. She has a passion for ministry, and we are pleased to welcome her and her husband, Aaron Cameron, into our community of faith.”

Mrs. Cameron said her primary focus beginning this new position is to continue finding ways to connect Rockwell UMC with their surrounding community, local school, and organizations, to create and facilitate better relationships, allowing the church and the town of Rockwell to increase their partnership and unity.

Tangela Cameron will be formally introduced to the congregation Sunday during worship at 10 a.m.
