SALISBURY – Roy Dave Leonard, Sr., 86, of Salisbury, died Saturday, Dec. 30, 2006, at the Brian Center of Salisbury.

Born Nov-ember 18, 1918 in Rowan County, Mr. Leonard was a son of the late Ella Davis Leonard and the late Harrison Leonard. Educated in Rowan County schools, he was retired from Duke Energy.

Preceding him in death were his wife Edna Mae Curlee Leonard and a daughter, Kathleen Lambe.

Survivors include his sons: Roy D. Leonard Jr., of Gold Hill, David Lee Leonard and wife Jackie of Salisbury and Jim Leonard of Salisbury; also one stepson, Rob Curlee of Granite Quarry. Also surviving is his sister Viola Mae Landreth of East Spencer, sixteen grandchildren and twenty four great-grandchildren.

Services: A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at Wildwood Cemetery in Salisbury.

Visitation: 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Lyerly Funeral Home.
