On Sunday, Aug. 28, Northgate Church will celebrate 30 years of ministry in Rowan County. Formerly New Covenant Christian Fellowship, Northgate Church was established in 1989 by Pastors Ken and Kay Koontz.
Northgate Church is a non-denominational fellowship committed to training and equipping families and ministers for a life of faith in the midst of troubling times.
The ministry, now a vibrant, growing church community, located at 1255 West Ridge Road, began as a small congregation housed in a building on West Henderson Street in Salisbury.
For this 30-year anniversary, the congregation at Northgate invites those in the community who have been a part of the church’s ministry to come and celebrate what God has done over the past three decades. The theme is “Look Back, Look Around, Look Forward.”
Pat Schatzline, founder of Daystar Ministries International, in Tuscaloosa, Ala., will deliver the message.
Worship begins at 10:30 a.m., and an Agape Feast will be held immediately after the service.
