Staff report
The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office got calls this morning from residents along a portion of Dunn’s Mountain Road about a rash of paint ball vandalism.
Maggie Brenseke, who lives on Dunn’s Mountain Road between Stokes Ferry and Bringle Ferry Roads, said her house was hit.
“At first, I thought it was an egg,” she said. “Then I saw it was yellow paint and blue pieces of the paint ball.”
While on the way to work this morning, she said she saw houses and mobile homes that had been hit by the yellow paint balls all along that stretch of Dunn’s Mountain Road .
A Sheriff’s Office official said none of the homeowners wanted to file formal vandalism reports with the agency.
The Sheriff’s Office has no suspects.
“I know what somebody got for Christmas,” Brenseke said.
