Second annual Rock-A-Bye Baby Jam happening this weekend

SALISBURY — Novant Health Rowan Medical Center and other local and national vendors are bringing Rock-A-Bye Baby Jam back for its second year.

The free event will be at the Historic Salisbury Train Depot at 215 Depot St. from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday. There will be music, refreshments, shopping and door prizes, all tailored for parents, babies and mothers-to-be.

Novant Health’s public safety officers will perform car seat safety demonstrations and attendees will also be able to gain tips on backpack safety and ergonomics for older children as they head back to the classroom.

“Whether you have young children, are expecting or just thinking about preparing for pregnancy, the Rock-A-Bye Baby Jam is a great way for women to have fun and learn about the services that are available for moms and moms-to-be in Rowan County,” said Dari Caldwell, president of Rowan Medical Center.

Vendors and exhibitors include Lora Belle Baby, Carolinas Cord Blood Bank, Smart Start Rowan, Rowan Public Library, Prevent Child Abuse Rowan, Foot’s Delight Neuro Reflexology, The Lettered Lily, Pampered Chef, Spotlight Dance Company, Greystone Salon & Spa, Chicka-Jen’s Sign Co. and Simply Sassy Boutique.
