Harry E. Roseman

CHINA GROVE — Harry Edmond Roseman, 90, 1410 Patterson St., died Sunday (Jan. 14, 2007) at Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, Kannapolis, after a serious illness of five months.
Born April 5, 1916 in Rowan County, Mr. Roseman was a son of the late Archie Monroe and Maggie Beaver Roseman.
Educated in the Rowan County schools, he was a self-employed plumber and retired from Cannon Mills in 1982, after more than 40 years as a fixer in the Cutting Department.
A lifelong member of Mount Zion United Church of Christ, he served as deacon, elder and was a member of the Men’s Brotherhood, Men’s Bible Class and Buildings and Grounds Committee.
Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Alta Miller Roseman; daughters Lynette Fink and Janice Miller, both of China Grove; son Harold Roseman, China Grove; sister Ethel Poplin Hall, China Grove; half-sisters Jane Stanley, Reidsville, and Ethel Ray Sloop, Concord; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
A service was held Tuesday (Jan. 16, 2007) at Mount Zion United Church of Christ. Burial: Greenlawn Cemetery.
