CHINA GROVE — Nina Mae Morris Freeze, 78, China Grove, died Sunday (Jan. 14, 2007) at NorthEast Medical Center, Concord.

Born Dec. 9, 1928, in St Augustine, Fla., Mrs Freeze was a daughter of the late Frank and Frances Powell Morris.

A retired nurse, she was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church.

Her husband, George Henry Freeze, whom she married May 23, 1946, died Jan. 8, 2007.

Survivors include daughters Barbara Freeze Helms and Linda Freeze Hooks, both of China Grove, and Sharon Freeze Wilshire, Virginia Beach, Va.; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

A service was held Tuesday (Jan. 16, 2007) at Oak Grove United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Millie Orbison. Burial, church cemetery.

The family will be at the home of daughter Linda Hooks, 795 Millbridge Road.

Hartsell Funeral Home, Concord, was in charge.
