Mae Nance Bradshaw

CHINA GROVE – Mae Nance Bradshaw, 99, a resident of Genesis Eldercare, Salisbury, and formerly of 616 Patterson St., died Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2007, at the nursing center.
Born June 10, 1907, in Mecklenburg County, Mrs. Bradshaw was the daughter of the late William Richard and Essie Virginia Van Pelt Nance. Educated in the Iredell County schools, she retired in 1973 from Cannon Mills.
Mrs. Bradshaw was a member of New Hope Presbyterian Church, the Women of the Church and the Golden Deed Sunday School Class. She was also a charter member of Eureka Lodge 277 Order of the Eastern Star, where she served as Worthy Matron four times.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rupert Wells Bradshaw, on Oct. 24, 1994; brothers James, Marvin, Dowd and Claude Nance; and sisters Cordie Campbell and Eudean Gabriel.
Survivors include sons Carl Brown Bradshaw (Dorothy) of China Grove and William Mason Bradshaw (Margie) of Hiddenite; daughter Ruby Bradshaw Mault (Bob) of China Grove; sisters Pauline Hopkins of Salisbury and Grace Grant of Roanoke Rapids; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; and one-great-great-grandchild.
Service: 11 a.m. Saturday at New Hope Presbyterian Church with the Rev. James Byers officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation: 7-8:30 p.m. Friday at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home, China Grove.
