Rowan weather: Rain today, but a beautiful end of the week

We’re finally getting much-needed rain, but it will be a gray and damp day.
An early morning thunderstorm passed through, but most of the thunderstorms today will be after 3 p.m. The chance of rain is 70 percent, with showers and storms during the day. The heaviest rainfall will be in thunderstorms. It will be cloudy and 82 degrees.
Tonight, it’s a 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with fog likely after 10 p.m. It will be cloudy and 66, with south southeast wind at 3-5 mph.
Tuesday has a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. It will start out cloudy, but become mostly sunny, leading to a high of 78. Light winds will become northwest around 5 mph. Tuesday night’s chance of rain is 30 percent, mostly before midnight. It will be partly cloudy and 60.
The chance of showers drops to 20 percent for Wednesday. It will be mostly sunny and 77, with calm wind becoming north at 5 mph. The same chance of rain is possible Wednesday night, with a low of 55 — our first cool night in a long time.
