Midnight’s Promise, a 501(c)3 nonprofit equine rescue, will have its first Founder’s Day Celebration on Saturday, Oct. 15, from 4-8 p.m. at 685 Delta St, Salisbury.
The public is invited to a rustic country affair with live music, an open fire under the pines, a campfire chicken dinner, a selection of homemade desserts and coffee.  There will also be a weenie roast, toasted marshmallows and S’mores for kids both big and small.
Visitors can tour the sanctuary, meet the horses and learn their stories.  Local musicians are invited to join in.
There will be a fee of $10 for the chicken dinner and $5 for the hot dog dinner. All proceeds and donations will be used to help rescue, rehabilitate and re-home neglected and abused horses, and horses in the slaughter pipeline.
