CONCORD — Clyde Ronald Burris, 67, 198 Buffalo Ave., died Jan. 15, 2007, at NorthEast Medical Center after a brief illness of a month.

Born Oct. 22, 1939, Mr. Burris was a son of the late Willie and Magaline Burris.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Shirley Blackwelder Burris; daughters Tamara Dulin, Locust, Elisha Eudy, Concord, and Cynthia Inglis, Salisbury; sons Clyde Ronald Burris Jr. and Mark Burris, both of Concord; sisters Carolyn Jennings and Sherry Kirks, both of Midland; brothers Carl and Kenny Burris, both of Concord; 10 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

A service was held Thursday (Jan. 18, 2007) at Wilkinson Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Bob Laxton and the Rev. Johnny Buck Canup. Burial, Oakwood Cemetery.
