Stanley Allen Winn, 77, 1804 Cooper Ave., died Friday (Jan. 19, 2007) at his home.

Born June 5, 1929, in Soddy-Daisy, Tenn., Mr. Winn was a son of the late Estel and Rebecca Morgan Winn.

Educated in Tennessee the schools, he worked 31 years as a plant engineer for Ford Motor Company, retiring in 1986.

He was an avid camper and wood worker and member of the Kannapolis Church of God.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Kay Smith Winn; son Jeff Winn, Indiana; daughter Phyllis Roberts, Kannapolis; sisters Dean Polly and Charlotte Ward, both of Soddy-Daisy, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A service was held Monday (Jan. 22, 2007) at Kannapolis Church of God, conducted by the Rev. Sam Crisp and Rev. W.J. Roberts. Burial, Carolina Memorial Park.
