SALISBURY – Barbara Jean Deal Hurlocker, 69, of Salisbury, died Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2007, at the home of her daughter.

Born March 4, 1937, in Cabarrus County, Mrs. Hurlocker was the daughter of the late Lloyd Jenkins and Helen Foster Deal. She was educated in Cabarrus County schools and was employed for the Salisbury-Rowan Schools System before retiring.

Mrs. Hurlocker was a member of Union Lutheran Church.

She was preceded in death by husband David Levoid Hurlocker on Oct. 21, 1997, and son Randy Alan Hurlocker on Jan. 12, 2007.

Survivors include her daughter, Karen Eagle and husband Jeff of Salisbury; son Michael Hurlocker of Mooresville; daughter-in-law Pam Hurlocker of Moores-ville; grandchildren Brandon Parker and wife Jackie of Troutman and Justin Parker and wife Lorie of Salisbury, Jennifer Hurlocker, David Hurlocker, Ryan Hurlocker and Nathan Hurlocker, all of Concord, Tobin Hurlocker and wife Erica of Landis, and Nicole Miller and Josh Miller, both of Mooresville; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation: The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:30 tonight at Summersett Funeral Home, and at other times, will be at the home of her daughter, Karen Eagle, 224 Pine Church Lane.

Service: Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Union Lutheran Church with the Rev. Dr. C.P. Fisher, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park, China Grove.
