The Refuge Salisbury announces the grand opening of a new children’s area called “The Back Yard.” In the building that once held the Sacred Heart School at 128 N. Fulton St. , The Refuge now hosts a Sunday morning ministry for ages 0-12 years old, a safe, fun, and life-giving environment for this next generation. The grand opening celebration will take place Sunday during the 11 a.m. service. Tours of the renovated facility will be from 12:30-1 p.m.
After you enter the front doors of the newly renovated building, you can either turn left to the TreeHouse area which serves children ages 0-5, or turn right to the ClubHouse Rock area which serves children ages 6-12. The teenagers at The Refuge find their mission serving the younger ones in these areas on Sunday mornings. In addition to this mission, teenagers are equipped in the same building downstairs on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. with what’s called Vertical youth. So once again, the old Sacred Heart School building is being used to minister to the lives of children and teenagers in and around the Salisbury area.
In addition to the renovated school, there are other areas on campus that have recently been given a facelift. So come check it out, and experience a life-giving environment that is reaching this next generation. The worship services for all ages start at 11 a.m.
