Henry Wilson Tysinger

WINSTON-SALEM – Henry Wilson Tysinger, 92, of Hayes Forest Drive, died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2007, at Forsyth Medical Center.
Mr. Tysinger was born in Salisbury on Oct. 19, 1914, to Henry Wilson Tysinger Sr. and Cora Linker Tysinger. He spent his early life and was educated in Salisbury. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Salisbury from 1914-1960.
In addition, he was a charter member of St. Thomas Lutheran Church in Charlotte, where he was treasurer. He was an honorary life member of the North Carolina Lutheran Men.
Mr. Tysinger was secretary/treasurer of Bruce Johnson Trucking Company in Charlotte and retired after over 25 years of service.
In 2005, he moved to Winston-Salem to reside at Brookridge Retirement Community.
Mr. Tysinger is survived by his wife, Helen Bost Tysinger of the home, and son Henry Tysinger III and his wife, Cynthia.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 6:30-8 p.m. Sunday at Salem Funeral Home, 120 S. Main St.
Service: The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Highland Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Edward J. Crotty officiating. Assisting will be the Rev. Jim Wagner, interim pastor of Highland Presbyterian Church, and the Rev. Debbie Layman, associate pastor of Highland Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in the Chestnut Hill Cemetery in Salisbury on Monday afternoon at 3 p.m.
