Insurance is important. But, when we hear the word, it doesn’t always bring about a positive response, does it? Unless… we are referring to the best insurance policy ever!

When you have insurance, there is an arrangement where some ‘guarantees’ are made in return for payment of a premium. A ‘guarantee’ means there is a promise to pay another’s debt or perform another’s obligation.

Any good insurance representative will let you know that there are ‘benefits’ to having insurance. ‘Benefits’ are advantages or profits gained.

Types of insurance include: health, liability, life, property, mortgage, catastrophe, auto, travel, and a plethora of others that tend to sound a bit more fascinating, like zombie insurance and alien abduction insurance.

Need insurance? Of course we do! Boy, do I have an ‘out of this world’ insurance plan for you!! It is loaded with ‘benefits’ and ‘guarantees’ you can count on!

Psalm 103:2-5 gives details about the benefits.

Verse 2: Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his BENEFITS:

*Benefit #1 -Verse 3: He forgives ALL our iniquities – ALL means ALL! Iniquities are immoral or grossly unfair behavior. Yes – Jesus forgives ALL our sins!

*Benefit #2 – Verse 3: He heals ALL our diseases! That’s much better than any life insurance benefit we can find anywhere else! He who has the SON has life! Disease may include affliction or adversity, but God heals it ALL! ALL means ALL!

*Benefit #3 – Verse 4: He redeems our life from DESTRUCTION! Yes, you may be able to buy ‘catastrophe’ insurance, but nothing compares to this ‘destruction’ insurance God provides! Redeem means to buy back. He buys our lives back, so we are not destroyed!

*Benefit #4 – Verse 4: He crowns us with lovingkindness and tender mercies. Wow! He crowns us! A crown is an award or distinction gained. It’s the highest honor! He gives us lovingkindness and tender mercies! Do we deserve that? No!

*Benefit #5 – Verse 5: He satisfies our mouth with good things so that our youth is renewed like the eagles. Eagles go through different stages of life and they get new feathers that meet their needs as they grow older. That sounds just like us! God provides what we need no matter what stage of life we are in!

Now, those are 5 great BENEFITS!

Wondering about the GUARANTEE?

Well… the ‘guarantee’ came as Jesus paid our debt on the cross! That’s right! No ‘quote’ is needed, because we don’t even have to pay the PREMIUM! Jesus paid the premium as He died for us, so that our sins would be covered, our benefits would be guaranteed, and we would have the only true LIFE INSURANCE!
