The Chick-fil-A Restaurant at 902 E. Innes St., in partnership with Bradshaw Financial Planning, will honor the community’s active military and veterans with Military Appreciation Day on Friday, Nov. 11, from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

All active military personnel and veterans are invited to enjoy a free meal at the Chick-fil-A restaurant on Innes Street.

“We would like to take this opportunity to extend our gratitude to those who have honorably served our nation,” said Bo Hawkins, franchise operator of Chick-fil-A at Towne Creek Commons.

“We hope they will join us as we show our appreciation for all that they do or have done.”

Free Chick-fil-A Chicken Biscuit Meal or Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich Meal for active or retired military personnel.

For every meal given away, Bradshaw Financial Planning Inc. will donate $8 to the VA Hospice Unit Patient Needs Fund.

Trent Bradshaw, president of Bradshaw Financial Planning said, “Our organization and myself have tremendous respect for veterans and active service members. This donation is a way to give back to those that have served and are currently serving. Bo and I want to honor the military heroes within our community and believe this small act will help us show our appreciation.”

Valid only at Chick-fil-A Towne Creek Commons. One free meal per person valid with a military ID or proof of service. Not valid with any other offer. Must be present to redeem. Offer valid while supplies last.

Remember, K&W Cafeteria is also offering a free dinner to veterans and active duty military.

The meal inclues a choice of entree, two vegetables, bread and beverage, with military ID or proof of service.

Available to dine in or takeout customers beginning at 4 p.m. Friday.

Many other chain restaurants are offering special on Veterans Day.

Most offer a free meal from a limited menu to an active duty member of the military or a veteran.

Check out Applebee’s, which offers a choice of seven meals. Bring your ID or proof of service.

At IHOP you can get a free stack of Red, White & Blue pancakes from 7 a.m.-7 p.m.

The pancakes have glazed strawberries, bluberry compote and a whipped topping.

Again, you need military ID or proof of service. No free pancakes for family members.

You might want to double check, but Olive Garden is offering a limited menu of free meals for veterans.

Again, double check, but Outback  Steakhouse also has a Veterans Day offer. Call ahead to see if there is a specific time for those meals.

In addition, all military members and their families get a 15 percent discount on their entire check Nov. 12-Dec. 31.

Cracker Barrel is offerent veterans a free Double Chocolate Fudge Coca-Cola Cake.

Check around to see what else is available. Starbucks often has a Veterans Day special, as does O’Charley’s, but their plans have not been announced.
