Comfort Keepers and Whitley’s 508 Event Center to host health festival
Plan to spend your afternoon with Comfort Keepers and Whitley’s 508 Event Center on Wednesday, Nov. 16 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. for their first Free Health Festival.
The event at Whitley’s 508 Event Center, 508 Cook Street in Kannapolis, will be an afternoon of health information and living options provided by various professionals in the area. Geared toward older adults, along with free gifts and door prizes, there will be a comfortable area for socializing and plenty of snacks.
Donations of non-perishable food will be accepted for local food banks in the area to promote Comfort Keepers’ Stop Senior Hunger Campaign.
Central Carolina Insurance Agency announces purchase of Pless-Haire Insurance Agency
Central Carolina Insurance Agency, a fixture in Salisbury and Mooresville, has purchased Pless-Haire Insurance Agency, Inc., 224 N. Main St., Mooresville, effective Nov. 1.
CCIA was founded in 1931. Current partners include Jay Whittington and John Drye in Salisbury and Clarence “Rock” Pickard along with Jason Meadows in Mooresville.
Today CCIA has 28 employees including five producers, seven personal lines account managers, six commercial lines account managers, two claims department managers and many long time, experienced employees.
CCIA is the largest independent insurance agency in Rowan County and one of the largest in Iredell County. The agency offers personal and business coverage through more than 20 insurance company providers as well as life and health insurance. The Mooresville office at 283 N. Chamber of Commerce’s Women in Business to meet Nov. 16
The Rowan County Chamber of Commerce’s Women in Business program will meet on Nov. 16 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Mean Mug Coffee Company, 1024 S. Fulton St.
There will be wine, beer and coffee available, as well as non-alcoholic drinks and sweet and savory snacks.
The event is free to chamber members and $20 for nonmembers.
