Faith Evangelical Lutheran calls Pastor Randy Drafts

FAITH — Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church has called Randy Drafts to be its new pastor.
Rev. Drafts is from Chapin, S.C. and his home church is St. Peter Lutheran. He graduated magna cum laude with a BA in religion from Furman University in Greenville, S.C., and also holds a Master of Divinity degree from Trinity School for Ministry in Ambridge, Pa.
Feeling the call to ministry at around the age of 13, he became an active member of the youth group at St. Peter. In college, he participated in internships at a homeless shelter, an afterschool program for under-resourced children, and Lutheran Hospice.
He graduated from seminary in May of 2016, was ordained in November began conversing with Faith Lutheran Church. He says he felt “…such a sense of peace in talking with them about their vision for the church and where they felt God was leading them.”
His wife Hannah teaches at North Hills Christian School in Salisbury. Pastor Draft enjoys Clemson football, disc-golf, kayaking and biking.
On Sunday at 4 p.m. is Pastor Draft’s official installation service at Faith Lutheran Church.
