Rowan weather: Warmer, but damp

After and chilly Sunday, we’ll start the week off warmer, but with a 30 percent chance of showers, mainly before 2. The high will be 57 under cloudy skies. West southwest wind will blow around 6 mph.

Tonight will be mostly cloudy with a low of 40.

Tuesday brings a 20 percent chance of showers, with patchy fog before 8 a.m. It will be cloudy and 54, with east wind calming in the morning. Tuesday night will also have a 20 percent chance of rain, with a low of 39.

And Wednesday has a 20 percent chance of rain, too, with more mostly cloudy skies and a high of 52. Wind will be north around 5 mph. Wednesday night will be colder, with a low of 29.

Thursday will be sunny, but the high will drop to 41. Bring in the pets and check on friends and neighbors Thursday night, when the low will be a frigid 18 degrees.

Friday will be partly sunny and downright cold, with a high of just 34 degrees. The low will be 25.

For the weekend, there’s a mention of rain or freezing rain on Saturday, with mostly cloudy skies. The chance of precipitation is 40 percent, with a high of 46. Saturday night has a 50 percent chance of showers, with mostly cloudy skies and a low of 39.

Sunday also has a 50 percent chance of showers, with more clouds and a high of 55.
