In Rowan County Sheriff’s Office reports:

• A man reported Thursday someone is trying to obtain unemployment benefits using his Social Security number from the 200 block of Chaffin Road, Woodleaf.

• A woman reported Thursday someone vandalized a gravestone at Rowan Memorial Park,  3980 U.S. 601.

• A man reported Thursday someone stole piping and wire from a residence in the 1000 block of Bell 
Ridge Court, Rockwell.

• A man reported Thursday a larceny occurred in the 4900 block of South Main Street.

• George Aaron Phifer, 52, was charged Thursday with felony assault with serious bodily injury in the 13500 block of Statesville Boulevard, Cleveland.

• Chace Walden Talbert, 24, was charged Thursday with misdemeanor simple assault in the 100 block of Cedar 
Brook Drive, Kannapolis.

In Salisbury Police reports:

• Wallace Realty Co. reported Friday a larceny from a building at 2143 Statesville Boulevard, in the vicinity of Little Caesar’s Pizza.

• Salisbury Academy reported a Friday larceny at 2210 N. Jake Alexander Blvd.

• A woman reported Friday that she was the victim of fraud in the 1700 block of Benjamin Drive.
