A son, Carter Reed, was born to Jeremy Ryan and Emily Peoples Jackson of Marietta, Ga., on Feb. 9, 2008, at Northside Hospital, Atlanta. He weighed 8 pounds, 4 ounces. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Michael Beck of Salisbury, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Peoples of Clemmons, Mr. and Mrs. James Gandy of Concord and Mr. and Mrs. Alex Jackson of Lexington.
Ava Barton
A daughter, Ava Lynn, was born to Amanda and Adam Barton of Salisbury on Feb. 13, 2008, at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast. She weighed 6 pounds, 14 ounces. She has a brother, Blake, 5. Grandparents are Bill and Debbie Barton and Rodger and Trish Williams, all of Salisbury. Great-grandparents are Mildred and H.B. Williams and Homer and Martha Bogle, all of Salisbury, Bill and Hannah Barton of Salisbury, Md., and Sylva Vesta and Janet Dove of Brightwood, Va. Autie Connell of Stanfield is great-great-grandparent.
Malaysia Dillard
A daughter, Malaysia Briann, was born to Brittany Locklear and John Dillard of Salisbury on Feb. 21, 2008, at Rowan Regional Medical Center. She weighed 7 pounds, 2 ounces. Grandparents are Greg and Anna Locklear and Marilyn Dillard, all of Salisbury. Great-grandparents are Marcie Dykes of Johnson, Tenn., Frank and Pat Pacana of Bakersfield, Calif., Johnny and Deanna Locklear of Salisbury and Mary Ellen Blassingame of Woburn, Mass.
